This poem is dedicated to those fighting breast cancer and appeared on the fund raising chart with the same name.
A Pocket Full Of Hope
Daughter, mother, sister, friend
Love begun without an end
The bond between us, strong and true
That pain and strife, cannot undue
The struggle we will turn to strength
Angst we fight at any length
Our hearts beat strong beneath the cloud
Our lungs do fill to shout out loud
We stand as one to dace down fate
Never too early, never too late
We peel the threads from despair's rope
To fill a pocket full of hope

This was written by a wonderful needle artist/teacher and a beautiful person. She left us to teach the angels.
A Stitcher's Prayer
Lord, grant that I may see to stitch
Until my dying day,
And when my last short thread is clipped
And scissors tucked away,
The work that I have done live on,
That other folk may see
The pleasure I have known,
Lord in the skill you gave to me.
