Pictures of Thailand

In November of 2005, our family moved to Thailand.  It is a 3-4 year expatriate assignment with my husband's employer.  We live in the Nonthaburi Province, inside an expat community called Nichada Thani.  After a hard initial adjustment to my new surroundings, I began to venture out with our driver.  I've been promising pictures of Thailand for a long time.  Finally, I'm happy to have some to show you.

Chiang Mai - February 2008

Each year the children at my daughter's school, International School Bangkok, participate in a program called "Week Without Walls."  During this week, each class of students goes to a different location.  Until high school this field trip to to another location in Thailand.  This year, my daughter's 8th grade class went to Chiang Mai, which is in northern Thailand.  Since this is a place I had wanted to see also, my husband and I decided it would be a great time for us to go also, since my daughter would be having fun with her schoolmates.

However, my husband was unable to make the trip, having been called to a meeting in Bangladesh.  So, instead my lovely maid and trusty driver went with me.  I hope you enjoy the pictures.
